Hôtel Castelbrac***** – Chapelle saint Gabriel – Dinard

La chapelle est en granit brut, au centre de l’hôtel, sur une falaise, face à la mer, avec de grandes baies voutées un peu romanes. Le lieu est marqué par la présence sauvage et forte de la nature avec le lierre agrippé aux roches et la mer turquoise.

Anciennement villa bric à brac, l’hôtel a gardé son charme désuet et hétéroclite. Nous avons créés les vitraux dans cet esprit de collage, avec les scènes religieuses de style gothique, incrustées dans un dessin de végétation foisonnante plus expressionniste et contemporain entre les vitraux cisterciens et les motifs de William Morris. Le dessin de plomb est tracé sur un verre soufflé translucide et laisse percevoir la vue. Les vitraux se colorent du paysage et filtrent légèrement la lumière.

Creation and Realization of Stained Glass

Hotel Castelbrac***** – Saint Gabriel Chapel – Dinard

The chapel is made of raw granite and is located in the center of the hotel, perched on a cliff overlooking the sea. It features large, slightly Romanesque arched windows. The place is strongly marked by the wild presence of nature, with ivy clinging to the rocks and the turquoise sea.

Formerly known as Villa Bric-à-Brac, the hotel has retained its quaint and eclectic charm. We created the stained glass windows in the spirit of collage, with religious scenes in a Gothic style, incorporated into a more expressive and contemporary design of lush vegetation, reminiscent of both Cistercian stained glass and William Morris motifs. The lead design is traced on translucent blown glass, allowing for a view through the windows. The stained glass takes on the colors of the landscape and gently filters the light.
